Ah it was so fun to come back from field camp and switching on my hp to see 10 smses, most of which were frens wishing me happy birthay... its nice to know that u are still remembered even tho we are confined to the monotomy of the army... thank you to everyone who remembered! it made my day...
so ya field camp, i was section commander(sec com)... carrying a 10+ kg sec com bag on top of my 15+ kg field pack, 5+ kg Load Bearing Vest (LBV), a 5kg rifle and on the later part of the field camp, a stretcher that felt like it weighed a ton... bah, 3 days of field camp - 2 days as sec com, 1 day as platoon medic. boy was it crazy... tio attacked by sand flies even tho i had mosquito netting over my face and neck, i woke up to scratch twice (once on my forehead and once on the right side of my neck) when i felt a zillion ants were swarming my face... SO ITCHY CAN ARRGH! like all the nimbling on ur skin can drive u nuts didnt have much sleep cuz me and my buddy took turns to man the signal set thru the nite...
finally got to meet up wif sher, who cabbed down from work in town (rich $$ hahahah) to join me for a cyclin session. wanted to show her changi business park but when we got there, the whole place like macham having countdown party, people walking everywhere and cars lined up the roads for kilometers... arrgh totally chaotic... then went to east coast and down to NSRCC, then we decided to take the sadisistically long route to SAF yatch club (its 5-10mins by car so u can imagine how far it was), then went around the airport perimeter b4 stopping by at changi village to catch the closing half of the euro match...
and yes of course, dearest adriene! =D wanted to go eat fish and co actually but then she's kinda saving up and i forgot that rich me could have treated her hahaha... oh well... so today (14 June) i got up at 0930 cuz we agreed to go out in the morning but then when it was about 10 plus and still no reply from driene... i asked alvin if i'd go by his place to borrow some bike mags, mind u they are not cheap at $12-15 a copy, and there's like 5 diff titles to buy every month muhahahaha! oh ya so i went and hung out in yishun till about 1330 then finally she called to say she just woke up... i said goodbye to alvin and made my way back to tampines and when i asked her where she was, she told me at like 1400 she was still at home talking on the phone... typically the blur gal i know hahahaha... so we finally went to subway and after i went to shop for stuff i needed to use in the army and she tagged along.. was so nice to rant with her after so long, wished we'd more time but i'd to rush back home to change into decent clothing for youth service...
boy it is a good idea to invite friends, then i wont have the temptation to pon cuz liek already arranged to meet them... a pity mr peng is busy with you know who and boon said he was busy only later late at nite when i was on my to dinner then he asked me out for a movie... sorry boy i no more energy after cheonging one whole day.. so ya it was nice to meet up with yun song after some time and i think he didnt really like the loud worship cuz although he was singing, he had his arms folded... gosh it was then that i remembered that i'd pray like crazy b4 i invite friends to come... a good thing there was this other guy form another region who was yun song's good friend, so he'd take the church bus back to his home in bukit batok. to end off the day, i ate at simpang bedok with the youth and wa la, li qin was there... so nice to see her there la! after the bunch of youth dispersed at tanah merah, i sent her home and ya then i went back home. so much for running around for one day! =D
and then dunno wad happened but i kenna ps by my family for my supposedly long ago already arranged lunch at fish and co... oh well, nvm sylvieyyy accompanied me in the whee! =D so long nvr catch up and talk nonsense with that crazy gal le haha... too bad jamesy could not join us cuz his parents wanted to celebrate fathers' day... =D thank you for the time sylvieyyyyyyyyyyyyy... =D
here's leaving you with adriene's post for MY BIRTHDAY. =D yes i know i shamelessly copied the html hahahaha dont kill me pls! =D
gone are the days were we'd wear ugly v-neck shirts
gone are the days you'll always wait for everyone to launch before you do
gone are the days where our coach would leave vandalisms on our boat
gone are days we'd be crazily retarded
gone on the days where we'd be willing to break the boat just to camwhore
and gone are the best days of my life in tpjc.
our rash guards and ugly shirts might be left at the back of our wardrobes untouched.
our skin might have turned white since the days we'd make ourselves vulnerable to skin cancer.
our very self entertaining breaks we've spent together are over.
and our times in tpjc sailing might just be a part of our memory now.
but the friendships we share is still very much alive.
especially for you and i.
HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY MY DEAR SHAUNNYPOOPOO! :D
have fun in field camp!
p.s, notice the colour? (:
