The land of shopping and makan...

Oh yes i finally managed to bug myself to post the long overdue blog entry on indonesia haha... as usual it'll be a photoblog post... =D i'll let the pictures tell the story... =D
So yes off we went on the travelator to our boarding gate...
so almost everywhere we went, we went in a taxi cuz our dad's driver wasnt around most of the time...
the people there find all kinds of ways to make money... like selling things on the roads during the traffic jams...
i used to think the 1337 cyclists are those who rode bikes that cost >10k in sg... but this guy pwns them all.
and their stunbikers hor... makes those vandals at sunplaza park look like girls...
there is like a severe lack of funds available for use there... like there are half complete highways that look like the foundations have been left exposed to the elements for years and burnt buildings that have not yet been refurbished...
oh yes then there's my dad's apartment... a unit there costs more than landed property... sick eh? but the good part is that the shopping mall is just a 5min walk away hehehe... there is like the entire top floor filled with food, food and more food! oh ya, one floor is like 2-3times larger than tampines mall's.
below the towering condo lay a labyrith of really really old housing and shophouses..

which i must say, is even more stunning at night...
but then, nothing beats the sunrise...
oh yes, back to the topic of food... there is like kebabs...
and root beer float... boy i love that to bits man, i can drink that for like breakfast, lunch and dinner...
diary queen blizzards which cost like S$7-8 but are just totally imbal... ANYONE KNOW SG WHERE GOT DIARY QUEEN MUST TELL ME K I WANNA EAT ONE B4 I GO INTO ARMY!!!
for the starbucks lovers out there, how about a drive through for you?
and... of course, the legendary krispy kreme doughnuts... we had like 4dozen of them hahahaha... got like doughnut phobia for a while when i got back...
my dad's super fierce offroad vehicle hahaha...
this mall is like the most lovely i ever saw, their xmas deco hor, makes robinsons look like child's play... and the size and layout of the mall... just simply fab man. its name? Taman Anggrek. oh ya, there's this like 50 year old magician with a shop in the basement.... =D
you just gotta see the motorbike parking lot outside the mall... CRAZZYYYYYYY!
Well, if you that was mad... how to ice skate in such conditions?
and as always a super gay pink shop that if adriene saw it, she think she went to heaven...

but one thing that is applaudable of the jakartians is that when they do something, they really put their heart and soul into it. the xmas decos, the service... and boy did u gotta see this mega lego city in the middle of the mall... gigantic...
oh yes, and the pig or cow whatever this thing is that my sis redeemed after we spent like $20-25 at the arcade...
soon it was time to go home and here are the last few photos i snapped of my beloved yellow billabong bag..
